Gwaldam
|
| About
3 kms. from Baijnath, the main highway goes
to Bageshwar and a side road branches off to
Gwaldam. This is delightful route as besides
the presence of birds, adding a winsome
note, one passes through terraced field and
thick pines set against a backdrop of the
Himalayas, and one can watch the Trishul
peaks coming even closer. |

Tourist Attraction
|
| Baijnath |
| Just
29 km. from Gwaldam are located the famous
temples of Himalayas Baijnath. Buit by
Katyuri rulres, these temples have over
the time become synonymous with India's
rich mythology. Here a cluster of temples
hold in their fold beautiful idols of
Goddess of Parvati Chiselled in black
stone. Innumerable tales of Lord Shiva
and Parvati make these temples a fascinating
experience. |
 |
| Kausani |
| Nestling
amongst thick, dense pine forests, atop
a narrow ridge and separated from the
towering mountains of the Nanda Devi
range by low, medium mountains, at Kausani
the grandeur of the Himalayas scenery
comes alive. The view of snow covered
Trishul and Nanda Devi is so clear that
one gets a feeling of the snows being
within touching distance. |

The
quaint town abounds in religious legends,
festive happenings and mind blowing surroundings.
Famous primarily as a prominent Shivaite
delight. Bageshwar has its share of patriotic
expressions and picturesque interludes.
