breakfast leave for excursion to Kufri, Chail and

3 - Shimla – Narkanda – Sarahan
·
After
breakfast start jeep safari to reach Sarahan (174Km
, 1920 M) via Narkanda (2690 M).

In
Sarahan visit Bhimakali temple, combination of Buddhist
and Hindu Architecture.
·
Overnight
at hotel.
Day
4 – Sarahan - Sangla
(Jeep)
·
Morning
after breakfast start safari to reach Sangla (2680
M).
·
Arrive
and camp on the bank of river Baspa. Sangla has houses
on a slope built one upon another with
Kinner Kailash Peak
(6660 M) dominantly situated in the background.
·
Visit
the nearby Kamru Fort, now dedicated to
Kamakshi
Temple
.
·
Overnight
stay in tents.
Day
06 - Sangla - Chitkul Pass - Puh
(Jeep)
·
Morning
after breakfast start safari to reach Chitkul pass
(3436 M/26 kms.).
·
Arrive
and spend some time over the Sangla pass to have Panoramic
view of surroundings. This pass opens routes to Garhwal
Himalayas.
·
After
lunch drive to Puh (3200 M). Close to Tibetan border
Puh lies in rain shadow region. Situated on the confluence
of Spiti and Sutlej
, it is famous for grapes, wood carving and Deodar
trees.
·
Overnight
in tents.
Day
07 – Puh - Kaza
(Jeep)

Morning
after breakfast start safari to reach Kaza (3450 M).
·
Enroute
visit Tabo Monastery (3200 M). Apparently it is an
ordinary mud structure but inside it has beautiful
Frescoes which earned Tabo the Epithet of Ajanta of
Himalayas.
·
Reach
Kaza in the evening.
·
Overnight
stay in the hotel.
Day
08 - Kaza
·
After
breakfast excursion to visit Kye Monastery (4116 M/11
kms). The Monastery of Spiti with rare painting and
scriptures. The scriptures are written in Bhoti languages
the mother tongue of Bhoti as who came from
Tibet to Spiti to spread Buddhism
in the area.
·
Further
drive to Kibber village (4400 M/9 kms) the highest
village in the world. Here you can interact with the
local people.
·
Return
to Kaza for overnight stay.
Day
09 - Kaza - Batal
(Jeep)
·
After
breakfast drive to Batal (3960 M) via Kunzum pass
(4551 M). Arrive Batal in the evening.

Overnight
in the tent.

10 - Batal - Jispa
(Jeep)
·
Morning
after breakfast start safari to reach Jispa (3142
M).
·
Enjoy
the view of Bara Shigri Glacier (3657 M) from Batal
·
En-route
visit Khardong Monastery at Keylong (3350 M). Keylong
is an "Oasis of greenfields".
·
Reach
Jispa in the evening and camp beside river Bhaga for
overnight stay.

11 - Jispa - Sarchu (Jeep)

Morning
after breakfast continue the jeep safari to Sarchu
(4253 M) via Baralacha pass (4892 M). The word Baralacha
means "A pass with cross road". The pass
has roads coming from Zanskar, Ladakh, Spiti and Lahaul.
·
Enjoy
photography at "Suraj Tal" (4800 M) a Serene
Lake and source of river Bhaga.
·
Reach
Sarchu in the evening and overnight stay in the tents.
Day
12 - Sarchu - Leh (Jeep)
·
After
breakfast start safari to reach Leh (3523 M) via Kyungshu
plains stretched along the road for 45 kms. Here the
sheep like animal Kyung could be seen.
·
Enjoy
at Lachulang-La (5065 M) and Tanglang-La (5360 M)
the 2nd highest pass in the world with the metalled
road.
·
Arrive
Leh and check into the hotel.
·
Overnight
at hotel.

13 - Leh
·
After
breakfast city sight-seeing of Leh.
·
Visit
Sankar Gompa, King's palace, bazaar etc.
·
Afternoon
visit Spituk and Phyang Gompas.
·
Overnight
at hotel.

14 - Leh
·
Morning
proceed for sight-seeing of Shey, old summer palace
with 12 feet statue of Buddha: Thikse, the superbly
situated Monastery on a hilltop overlooking the village
and the Indus river and Hemis Monastery the richest
and the largest Monastery of the area.

Afternoon
at leisure.
·
Overnight
at hotel.
Day
15 - Leh/Delhi (Flight)
·
After
breakfast transfer to airport to board flight for
Delhi.
·
Arrive
Delhi, transfer to hotel overnight at hotel.
